"a place is a story happening many times"
As part of the Museum's exhibit about the Lindenmeier Archaeological Site, we posed the question "what place tells your story, and why?" and asked our visitors to leave their thoughts on our comment wall in the gallery. This online exhibit is a sample of some of the responses we've received, and also a place where you can leave your comments, thoughts, and the story of your special place.
hispanic heritage: an archival perspective
Explore an interactive journey through Fort Collins' Hispanic heritage in this exhibit, originally created for American Archives Month and Hispanic Heritage Month in 2008. Combining photographs, historical documents, and oral history, the exhibit highlights the contributions of Hispanic citizens who have shaped the culture, history, and economy of Fort Collins, providing a unique and personal glimpse into the past.
the fort collins memory project

In April 2009, the Museum and the Local History Archive hosted a one-day workshop for area people to create interactive slideshows of their family's immigration story. The result was five different stories and five different windows into the diversity of our community.
Each slideshow includes photos, scanned images of objects or documents, and audio narration. In addition to being available here, these slideshows have been donated by the participants to the Local History Archive.
